Now, this is where you are really spoilt for choice. We’ve laid down a couple of options (aren’t you lucky!)

     Option 1: The Speedmaster.

Are you working with a high-powered saw with a high output? If the answer’s yes, this is the one for you.

The fastest blade in Stonegate history, and not for the faint-hearted, the Speedmaster has a life of up to 2000 linear meters, whilst simultaneously producing fantastic results, particularly when mitring. It’s all down to the premium Italian technology tucked away inside the blade.

Our top tip for the Speedmaster: reduce the speed of the blade as you enter and exit your stone to avoid blowout.

    3. Dekton

This blade is far ahead of other blades on the market with virtually chip free finish on the most difficult materials. This blade also requires very little sharpening. It is suggested to cut an engineered stone job periodically between a Dekton job to freshen up the diamonds.Beware, this blade is extremely fast! With unprecedented speeds on all materials and no need to change saw blade between material changes, this really is the industry's answer to the challenges fabricators face with time constraints.

    TECHNICAL INFO:

Pssst. You’ve made it all the way to the end, so, it’s only right we give you a bonus bit of knowledge!

Working with UCS materials like Dekton? We recommend sharpening your blades between each use, so that you get the most from your tools and maintain a finish that’s up to standard. Unless you’re using the NEXT Blade, as running a quartz job after every UCS will keep it perfect!

    • - Silicone the block to the bed.
    • - Run the blade 2mm deep into the block at twice the normal running feed speed.
    • - To get the most out of the block, move the blade a blade width across the block until the whole area has been used.

Improve the lifetime of your saw bed by up to 5 years!

Rubber matting is great for fabricating UCS, porcelain and ceramic materials as it absorbs vibration and gives cushion. Your blade should protrude into the bed by 1.5-2mm, and the rubber bed is designed to 'part' as the blade passes rather than ‘cut’.

    • - Apply single part adhesive evenly over the saw bed.
    • - Smooth rubber mat out on top of adhesive using reasonable hand pressure.
    • - Leave to set for 24hrs.
    • - Trim matting to fit saw bed.
